Our Round Oak Planters are made of oak staves glued together and bound together with galvanized stainless steel hoops. In order to be used for a long period of time the small planter has plastic bottoms installed and we use draining inserts, which accommodate the excess of water from inside the pot. All our hardwood planters are water-tight and impregnated with high quality varnish to make them weather resistant (low temp. and rain) so can be used indoor as well as in your garden.

	Each planter has 2 galvanized steel hoops protect the hoops from elements that normally would lead to oxidation, corrosion and the eventual weakening of them.		Our planters have self-watering system built-in. It keeps your plants from drying out, controls the amount of water absorbed and reduces the time You spend watering.
	The staves(timbers) in our planters are connected with additional wodden joints. They strengthen the construction, making your planter more durable and serve You for longer.

	Deliveries are made beetween 9am and 6pm, and will required a signature to ensure safe and secure delivery. For this reason we are unable to delivery goods to PO Boxes. For security and speed, all orders, excepted small products are shipped using DPD. All Woodbarrels goods remain the property and responsibility of Woodbarrels until delivered to the specified address and payment has been received in full. Items are insured against theft and accidental damage at no cost to the customer.

Oak Wood all about oak wood we are using

For manufactory our oak flower pots We are using the highest quality East European White Oak (Quercus robur). As this type of oak tree grows in cold climate yearly growth in the wooden channels, is very thin that makes wood grain very tight. A tight grain means the wood is less porous, and therefore is more likely to make a watertight product.

Before Oak Wood will be used for production it is seasoned under natural conditions for at least 2 year, however certain wood remain there for 3-4 years.

This exposure to the rain, wind and sun helps to reduce green tannins.

The oak wood for this flower pots comes from well managed forests, independently certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council A.C.
