Wooden washtubs in the old times were used for washing. Nowadays they're no longer used for that purpose, however they've gained different practical functions in the garden or as decoration in you cottage house i.e. With 15 cm of height and 30 cm of width it's quite heavy as it weights 8 kg.

This is due to the solid oak wood used for its production. This oak washtub is ecologically made without use of any glues or paints. All the washtubs are handmade of oak wood.

	SHIPPING COMPANY
	Deliveries are made beetween 9am and 6pm, and will required a signature to ensure safe and secure delivery. For this reason we are unable to delivery goods to PO Boxes. For security and speed, all orders, excepted small products are shipped using DPD. All Woodbarrels goods remain the property and responsibility of Woodbarrels until delivered to the specified address and payment has been received in full. Items are insured against theft and accidental damage at no cost to the customer.

As most of the products are quite heavy we've designed a system which calculates shipping cost by weight of the shopping basket so every time You pay correct price and save money if You buy multiple items.

Oak Wood all about oak wood we are using

Wood description

For manufactory our Wooden Washtub We are using the highest quality East European White Oak (Quercus robur). As this type of oak tree grows in cold climate yearly growth in the wooden channels, is very thin that makes wood grain very tight. A tight grain means the wood is less porous, and therefore is more likely to make a watertight product. Before Oak Wood will be used for production it is seasoned under natural conditions for at least 2 year, however certain wood remain there for 3-4 years.

Why wood is seasoned for so long?
